Minor Project.
the moodboard for my final major project which is based around my idea’s on escapism. i want to combine a sureal and exhagurated natural landscape against a darker view of the everyday mundane exploring the differences between the two.

Another final piece from my final second year project, screenprinted on a light wool with tactile embroidery.

whilst embroidering this one i started to stitch round one of the embroidery hoops and left it in the design, i have then gone on to stitch more in. simply because it looks pretty cool!

some quick multidirectional running stitches to add colour to the print.

I really love this piece the light organza and airy print make it look very ethereal and surreal. Its been created with a pull through screen print, which is basically painting and experimenting with various dyes and pastes onto the front of the screen, then waiting for it to dry and pulling it through the back onto fabric with indalca. Although Ive finished this with some delicate stitching I am debating creating more of it to layer upon the oringinal to create a tiered effect.

Maderia Threads Sponsorship

So I’ve been selected with another five to hopefully get myself selected for a sponsorship from maderia threads for next year. Just need to sort myself a covering letter and some images of work. If I am selected I’ll get hundreds of pounds worth of threads for next year which would be amazing and save me a fortune so fingers crossed.
